Childcare Options:
We maintain a high number of professional nannies, carers and au pairs with varying levels of skills, qualification and expertise to provide professional childcare services throughout the Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire areas.
You're a parent who demands the best care and top-quality professional child carers for your children. You want the peace of mind that is enjoyed by the many parents who use Nottinghamshire Nannies. With Nottinghamshire Nannies, you know that your child is in safe hands. For extra peace of mind and security, our nannies are criminal record checked, reference checked and interviewed.
Typical examples of care that we can provide are:
Nannies...
A nanny is a children's nurse, especially trained in childcare. Nannies can provide flexible and cost-effective childcare solutions for many parents. A nanny usually holds one or more of the following qualifications: NNEB, BTEC, NVQ3, City & Guilds.
We also offer Nannies without formal qualifications, but who have a wide range of experience with children, and have worked in the childcare sector for several years. Starter Nannies are newly qualified. They have experience through college placements and babysitting.
Nannies can be provided on either a live-in or live-out basis.
Parent's Help...
For all the above childcare options we can offer you a full time, part time or temporary assignment. Whether your needs are urgent or not we will strive to put forward the best applicants to suit your families needs.
A Parent's help supplied by East Midlands Nannies and Au Pairs will either hold a childcare qualification or have a minimum of 1 years childcare experience.
A Parent's help is an extra pair of hands to help with daily activities including light house work, ironing, helping with shopping, trips to the park and general entertaining of children.
Maternity Nurses and Night Nannies...
Maternity nurses are dedicated to giving help and advice to a mother during the first few weeks following the birth of a new baby. They are able to help establish a routine with feeding and sleeping, and generally offering gentle guidance at a very special, but often daunting time.
A maternity nurse will give as little or as much hands on help that you need. Many maternity nurses offer 24 hour live-in help, and will be happy to take over some night-time feeds, giving parents a well deserved rest.
A Night Nanny will usually arrive at 9pm and leave at 7am. These hours can be more flexible if prearranged directly with the nanny. She will not only care for your child but will also assist you in trying to guide your child to sleep through the night.
Parents can enjoy a period of unbroken sleep without the worry of getting up to feed a baby, settle a child or change a nappy.
Au Pairs...
Summer Au Pair for the Holidays?
At this time of year, many parents are thinking of the long summer holidays for their children and they are thinking of getting some help , therefore a summer au pair can be just the answer!
If you are struggling to get a long term au pair this could be an excellent short term option and would then give us time to find you a long term au pair to start in September.
What you need to know about employing an Au-Pair.
An Au Pair is not a Nanny and should not be left in sole charge of babies or young children. The majority of Au Pairs are students and will have very little childcare experience, except for maybe baby-sitting or looking after the children of relatives or friends. In the event that a family decides to leave an Au Pair in sole charge of children aged under 2 years of age, it is at the sole risk of the parents.
Au pairs can work in the family home for up to 25 hours per week ( plus 2 nights babysitting) and have 2 full days off per week for free time.
Recommended pocket money is £70 per week for work up to 25 hours each week.
An 'Au Pair Plus' can work for up to 35 hours per week in return for pocket money of approximately £95. Au Pairs are currently entitled to one week paid holiday for every 6 months worked.
The work involved is generally helping with children, cleaning, ironing, helping prepare food and other light housework.
Au Pairs must have their own room and be able to attend English Classes.
Most Au Pairs apply to stay for 6 to 12 months but we always have plenty of Au Pairs looking for long term and holiday placements only. Au Pairs will pay for their own travel to and from the United Kingdom. Families will have to pay for transportation from and to the arrival point.
