For extra peace of mind and security, our nannies are criminal record checked, reference checked and interviewed.
Typical examples of care that we can provide are:
Nannies...
A nanny is a professional who is qualified or un qualified with experience in childcare. Nannies can provide flexible and cost-effective childcare solutions for many parents. A nanny usually holds one or more of the following qualifications: NNEB, BTEC, NVQ3, City & Guilds.
We also offer Nannies without formal qualifications, but who have a wide range of experience with children, and have worked in the childcare sector for several years. Starter Nannies are newly qualified. They have experience through college placements and babysitting.
Nanny Hours;
With the change towards flexible working hours, many parents are looking for part time nannies. The option is now available to hire a nanny on a part time basis. An average day for a full time nanny is 8am to 6pm.
The role of a nanny
A nanny is responsible for feeding, washing, clothing and stimulating children. He or she should provide a safe and loving environment for the child and be expected to plan activities and enhance development. Nannies are not normally responsible for general housework although they should clear up after themselves and the children.
Parent's Help...
A parent's help is usually without formal childcare qualifications, however some might possess CCE or NVQ2. They will have had experience with children. They will help with light housework, along with childcare duties.
For all the above childcare options we can offer you a full time, part time or temporary assignment. Whether your needs are urgent or not we will strive to put forward the best applicants to suit your families needs.
Maternity Nurses/Night Nannies
Our Maternity Nurses and night nannies are dedicated to giving help and advice during the first few weeks following the birth of a baby. They are able to help establish a routine of feeding and sleeping and generally offering guidance and support at an often-daunting time for parents.
A maternity nurse will offer 24 hour live in help, whilst a night nanny will offer night time cover only.
Au Pair
An au pair is not a nanny and should not be left in sole charge of babies or young children. The majority of au pairs are students who will have very little childcare experience, except for maybe baby-sitting or looking after the children of relatives or friends.
Au Pairs work either for 25 hours and are paid £60 per week or 35 hours and paid £85 per week. Included in this 2 nights babysitting per week.
Mostly au pairs stay for 6 to 12 months or longer but we can also provide summer holiday cover of 3 months.
